The Pediatric Oncology Resource Team was established in 1994 by parents who had all experienced the tragedy of childhood cancer first-hand. P.O.R.T. is committed to providing and promoting compassionate, personalized support to children and their families battling childhood cancer and life-threatening blood disorders. The P.O.R.T. Guild was formed in July 1999 and will continue to support the P.O.R.T. Program at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
