P.O.R.T. is proud to partner with Bank of America Reeds Lake Run again on Saturday, June 28th as the charity of choice for this great event.  The East Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department and Bank of America have helped P.O.R.T. raise more than $15,000 in the last two years to help support our program at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital.  We are very grateful to Bank of America for their very generosity. This year’s race has something for the whole family:

5KRun/Walk
The 5K course runs through flat residential areas of East Grand Rapids.

10KRun
Scenic 10K route around Reeds Lake which is relatively flat with two hills.

Kids’ Races
This event is for children ages 5 - 12 and includes four different races. The races will be divided by age groups and each finisher will receive a finisher ribbon. Distances range from 220 yards to one mile. This event is held on the East Grand Rapids High School track.

Participants, friends and family are all welcome to join us in John Collins Park for the Post Race Party, where you can enjoy food, beverages and a live band. All participants will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win great prizes. Sit back and enjoy the food and music as your children take part in various activities. The Post Race Party is fun for the entire family! The Post Race party begins at 8:45 a.m., and the Awards Ceremony begins at 10:15 a.m.

As a P.O.R.T. contributor, you will be entered in a special drawing. You could win a top quality Mountain bike from Village Bike Shop (a $300 value) along with other prizes. The winner's name will be announced before the 10K Start. So do your part for P.O.R.T. and win.

We need your help with race registration on Friday, June 27th from 4:00 to 7:00pm and on Saturday, June 28th at the Wealthy Aid Station at 7:00am.  It’s a lot of fun!  Contact Kristin at the P.O.R.T. office at 391-9136.
